Itinerary
Day 1
You will be met at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Our staff will answer all your questions about your upcoming safari and give you a short briefing. You will then be transferred to your accommodation at the Mvuli Hotel.
Day 2
After breakfast you will depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park, a distance of 120 km from Arusha. Its natural vegetation consists mainly of acacia and giant baobab forests, with vast swampy areas in the south. The park has one of the largest concentrations of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem. Afterwards visit Tarangire National Park and picnic lunch. Continue wildlife viewing until late afternoon and then drive to Octagon lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3
After breakfast, depart to Lake Manyara National Park for a full day of game viewing. Here you will visit the lake and see millions of pink flamingos, lions climbing trees and much more until late afternoon. Afterwards we will drive to Octagon Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4
After breakfast transfer to Serengeti National Park for a full day game drive. Serengeti is the largest national park filled with a great variety of animals, birds etc. Here you will see the wildebeest migration across the Grummeti River and the Mara River. This park covers an area of about 14,726 square kilometres. Our professional guide will show you the unique Serengeti after game drive and then straight to the night in the thorn tree tented camp.
Day 5
After breakfast, full day Serengeti game drive, enjoy driving through the endless plains to the western corridor until sunset. Dinner and overnight at Thorn Tree tented camp.
Day 6
Early morning sunrise, enjoy watching predators and other animals in their active state, i.e. watch predators chasing their prey and much more, then return to camp.
Day 7
Ngorongoro Crater, wildlife viewing Time: 8 hours Activities: After breakfast you drive to the Ngorongoro protection area. After breakfast you will have breakfast and after breakfast you will be driven to the Ngorongoro Crater floor. The Ngorongoro Crater (19.2 km in diameter, 610 m deep and 304 km2 in area) is one of the most densely populated wildlife areas in the world and is home to some of the last remaining black rhinos in Tanzania. Its huge predator population is another great asset of this crater. Sustained by a year-round supply of water and forage, this impressive oasis provides a haven for both predators and prey living among the grasslands. After a visit to the crater and a picnic lunch, you will be driven back to Arusha airport for your onward journey to Zanzibar.
